We're very new to this software, but so far are very pleased with it. The Geodesic team installed it for us and we were up and running within a few days (would have been sooner, but we wanted to use the software for events instead of products, so we had to replace "item" with "event" throughout the site.)

I would recommend this software to anyone without reservation. I am a complete newbie to put it mildly , I just wanted �something� to turn my dream into reality , my dream being an Auction site , I had downloaded �free� copies of various auction programs and �knew I was on my way..� anyway eight months later , I had made no progress. I decided to buy a commercial version and then searched the web ( as we all do) . The feedback or testimonials from Geodesic convinced me that this would be a company worth a try ( I scanned so many auction sites ) as the price was most reasonable and the support appeared good.

Well I purchased the software and almost fell off my chair, when before I knew it I had installed the software onto my site and it was UP!!!!! Yes I really like the geo software. The best thing I can say about the software is that the geo guys are great about tech support. When I first got my software a couple of years ago I emailed them with so many dumb questions and they answered every single one of them usually within 24 hours. That alone makes them worth it. Any time I had a problem they addressed and still years later they will answer any question I have and have even gone in and done a fix or two for me. So they don't just give you good service in the beginning they keep it coming which if you know anything about software companies that isn't the norm. I even started second site using their software www.thestallionplace.com if you want to look as I have it setup a little different.

The one thing I would recommend if you get the software is to print the manual and read it. I am pretty good with web design so I scanned the manual for the highlights and then thought I was good to go. After a week of frustration.....not being able to get anything done right I went back and read the manual through, then it made sense and I was off and running. You need to understand how a bunch of modules make up pages. Once you know that and how it works it really is easy to work with. They also offer a forum where you can post questions and get answers from other users about how they do things so I use that as a reference when I am looking to try new things.

We would highly recommend the Geodesic Solutions software. We are not tech wizards and for the most part we were able to get it set up fine (just a little help from them) . We did need some help creating some templates in the beginning but we don't often need help with the software any more. We have used this software for several years and have actually purchased 2 additional licenses for other sites we own. (We have the Enterprise version on all sites) We looked very hard and long before deciding on Geodesic and we are very happy that we chose them. The software works really well with very very few bugs ever developing. Since it has so many features it was hard to learn in the beginning but I'm sure it is not any harder than any others and the guys at Geodesic are EXCELLENT at helping you out when you need help. We give Geodesic TEN STARS .... I don't think they can be beat !

The only thing I can say is WOW. This is the best. I also own [competitor] and [competitor]. This is the best one I have ever seen for looks and admin.

Just want you to know how terribly impressed I am with your software thus far. Setup was really, really a breeze. I used to do QA and suffer through all kinds of "klugey" installs.. yours was terrific. Judging by the admin control panel, you seem to have thought of everything...

It was my dream to start an Online Auctions & Classifieds Site. I came across many companies offering Auctions & Classifieds Management Softwares. Most of them had some type of hidden costs associtated with them which were not disclosed on their sites or were not satisfactory. I had a zero knowledge of this line and no one to guide me in this field. I was looking for a product that has all the modern features that are required to successfully start a professional looking site.

It was a dream come true when I came across Geodesic and saw their product features and comparision chart. Other products just could not stand in front of Geodesic. The most rememberable moment was that before purchasing Geo Product, I had asked so many questions to the sales team that any other company would have said Good Bye to me.

I was planning to host with a local company here in India and asked the Geodesic if this was OK. The Geodesic was so kind enough that they even visited the website of that hosting company and advised me that the company that I was planning to host with was very costly and they then referred me a good hosting company. The most powerful feature of Geodesic Products is that they are totally template based. I can change the look and feel of the site anyhow I wish. I can make a exact clone of eBay and no one will ever come to know the difference between my site and ebay site. And no doubt the software is very rugged and so stable that I never experienced software crash and that to as a beginner. The support team was always there to assist with almost any problems. I Again in between I came across other Auctions & Classifieds Management Softwares and also tried their Admin and Client demos. But still as of date none of them is as powerfull and customsiable as Geodesic Products are.

Today, I am proud to say that I am the most satisfied Geodesic customer than any other customer. I highly recomend Geodesic products to everyone who wants to start their own Auctions & Classifieds Site. I seriously suggest the new customers that before choosing any other brand, do contact the Sales Team and do not make a mistake by choosing wrong brand.

I find GeoClassifieds to be a powerful and user friendly classifieds script. I have found changing the look and text of the site output to be easy using the admin interface though in the cheaper versions of GeoClassifieds editing of the PHP files is required for more complete layout changes. I can tell you from 1 year and 3 software companies later that Geodesic Software is by far the best solution we found on the market. We customized the graphics on the site but we have not changed the source code. As far as support goes they are professionals they are busy and sometime I get my fix in 30 minutes and sometime I get my fix in 48 hours but I always get my fix. I spent $1800.00 and 2 months with programmers in Florida and $4200.00 and 3.5 mounths with a programmer in New Jersey, both companies lied to us and never performed. Before finding your product, I had received quotes from some firms as high as $40,000 to custom build what you have at a much, much more affordable price. I also applaud you in your fore-thought of making this software so user friendly and customizeable. We did run [competitor] for over two years the system is excellent and now we are running on geolassifieds which is also excellent. Two real issues here for us.
1. Our site is growing and traffic volume was driving the shared server to crash due to processor over use we had been removed from two hosting companies which took us down for two weeks each time and we lost our data base each time.
[competitor] runs on a perl5/cgibin which does seem to cause some trouble with the servers when conducting serches of a large data base. This may not be a problem for you if you operate your own server and traffic volume or hits are below 20,000 page views per day. geo-class run on a SQL PHP format which I can tell you runs wonderful on a shared server and with well over 20,000 page views per day.
2. Customer service was excellent with [competitor] when it was possible to get service. Since they are number 1 in this business they are very very busy and when we need service we need service. geo-class is an e-mail away or a call during normal business hours to speak with a real person... I would rate geo-class service 5 star excellent and very available. Not sure what options you like on the [competitor] vs geo-class but the geo-class is changing and is a work in progress and your ideas will always be considered when changes are made. The interface is also another area you may want to spend sometime looking at. geo-class is vary easy to change without perl5 server side changes. [competitor] was a much longer learning curve for us.
