Currency Types

Control the currency types that you want to appear in the dropdown selection for the seller to choose from during the listing placement process. This value represents the currency that the seller is willing to accept from the winning bidder of the listing. If there are no currency types entered into this form there will be no currency type displayed for the seller to choose from.

 

note NOTE: Do not confuse the functionality and intent of this section with that of “currency designation” under the PAYMENTS Menu, which is used by you to tell your sellers the currency that you are willing to accept from them when placing their listings on your site.

 

note NOTE: If you are having trouble getting currency symbols to display properly on your site, you have a couple of options:

 

- Enter a compatible "charset" that is being used within your site's templates AND edit the "Character Encoding" setting on the SITE SETUP > GENERAL SETTINGS page.

- Use "html entities" to display the appropriate currency symbol. An Internet search for "html entities" will provide you with an abundance of sites that you can use to find the correct html entity for your currency symbol.
