Bid Increments

You have the ability to edit the increments that a bid must be increased before the next bid is accepted. In other words, depending on the current winning (high) bid of the item, you may want to increase the bid increments a different rates. For instance, let's say you have an item whose current successful bid is $5. You might set your bid increment for a $5 item to something low like $1 or $2, so the next bid must be at least $6 or $7. However, as the item gets more and more bids and the current bid price is up to $100, you might want to change the bid increment to $5 or $10, so that the next bid must be at least $105 or $110 in order to be successful.

Create your bid increment windows with the value of the item in mind. Depending on your market, you could potentially have some listings with $10 items and others with $25,000 items, such as a car. You dont want your bid increment for a $10 item to be $200, and you dont want your bid increment for a $25,000 car to be $2.00. That is why we have set up this form...so that you can designate the bid increment based upon the value (current bid) of the item.
